Save your place and come back
Purpose
Leave an assessment part-way through and pick it up where you left off.
Who this is for
Anyone part-way through an assessment.
You do not have to do anything to save
Your answers are saved automatically as you work. A small pill in the header tells you where things stand:

| Saving… | A save is in flight right now. |
| Draft saved | Your answers are safely stored. |
| Not saved — retrying | The last save did not get through. |
If you see Not saved — retrying, stay on the page and keep answering — the next save usually succeeds. Do not close the tab while it is showing.
There is no "Save" button, and none is needed.
Coming back
Open the same assessment link again, in the same browser on the same device. You will see:
We restored your saved progress — pick up where you left off. Your answers are saved automatically.
and the questions will already carry your answers.
Why the browser matters
Your place is held by a key stored in that browser, not by your name or your email address. That means:
- Same browser, same device — your progress comes back.
- A different browser, another computer, or your phone — it will look like a fresh start.
- Private / incognito windows — progress usually disappears when the window closes.
- Clearing your browsing data — clears the key, and with it your saved place.
If you need to switch devices, finish and submit first.
If submitting fails
You will see We could not submit your answers, with the reassurance that nothing is lost. Your answers are still saved. Check your connection and choose Try submitting again. The assessment stays open behind the message, so nothing you typed is thrown away.
After you submit
Reopening the link in the same browser shows the confirmation page rather than the questions again. Answers cannot be changed after submission — contact the organisers if something needs correcting. An auditor can reopen a submission for you if the circumstances warrant it.
If a reviewer has shared feedback on your answers, it appears on that same confirmation page under Reviewer feedback.
